KWAGALA SOLOMON
CLASS: BABY CLASS
PLACE OF ORIGIN:
He was born on – and unfortunately his mother passed away three years ago and she had not told anyone who his father was. Solomon and his maternal grandmother stay in the neighbourhood of the Penner home and he would occasionally come to the home in search of what to eat since home food is a rare case.
So we talked to a few people about why this boy was always putting on the same clothes and looked like he had no one to take care of but we were informed that he stays with his grandmother who goes around to look for casual jobs so that she is able to sustain herself and the boy.
We then requested our caretaker to always take care of Solomon whenever came around.
KAMUHEBWA ISAAC WASHINGTON
CLASS: PRIMARY FOUR.
PLACE OF ORIGIN: IBANDA DISTRICTICT
He lost both her parents at an early age and so he has no memory of them. He was taken on by her maternal auntie, known as Arinaitwe, and when it came to her time for marriage, she took Isaac to her parents, who happened to be Isaac’s grandparents too.
The male grandfather had blind syndrome, and the woman was too old to even look after herself so how could she be able to look after a young child? To make matters worse, none of them had something that sustained them.
This was simply jumping from the saucepan to a pan of boiling oil. The grandfather later passed on and this made life more complicated because two vulnerable people were left to take care of themselves.

A call for help was made, and so we were contacted.
We enrolled Isaac in penner ministries, and he was welcomed into the family; since then, he has been an amazing child. Isaac, being the bright boy that he is, is currently promoted to primary five, and he dreams of becoming a doctor in the future. His dream can only come true with your constant support. THANK YOU SO MUCH
NAMUGGA CLAIRE
CLASS: PRIMARY TWO
PLACE OF ORIGIN: NAKASEKE DISTRICT
With marriage being on the rocks, a mother is forced to abandon her children with their father, opts for another marriage, and eventually disappears with no trace of her ever again.
Her disappearance becomes a huge blow in the lives of her family to the extent that a once-loving father changes for the worse. He starts mistreating his children, drinking alcohol, and sleeping around with different kinds of women in the very house where his children reside.
This affects his work and his life in general. The depression of losing everything pushes him to start drugs, which marks the end of him because he eventually runs mad.

Claire and her siblings stay in the house alone with nothing to eat and no one to take care of them because their father would spend days without returning home.
The authorities in the community get concerned and appeal to people to extend help to these little children. A moment comes when the children are distributed to different places, and that’s how Claire gets enrolled in penner ministries.
We do not regret having Claire as one of us because she is the sweetest child that one can ever have. She is very obedient and hardworking. At her age, she can make a very good meal that can get you mesmerized.
Claire is acquiring education at Shammah Primary School, and we gladly inform you that she was promoted to primary three. She dreams of becoming a chef in the future, but as we very well know, chefs are not understood so well in our country. With your support, Claire’s dream and more will come true.
NAKIMULI CATHERINE
Class: BABY CLASS
PLACE OF ORIGIN: WAKISO DISTRICT.
Catherine has both her parents alive. One time she decided to follow a friend to our 2021 Christmas party, and this is how we got to know her. She frequently came to watch the activities being done, in which she never participated but rather cried nonstop.
This caused a question mark because kids her age usually enjoyed playing in the company of others. A follow-up was made by the caretaker at Penner’s home, only to find out that her eyes were covered with fresh wounds ‘and they seemed painful; we could only imagine the pain she was going through, so we immediately summoned the mother, for she lived nearby.

She narrated the agony of having to take care of five children by herself just because their father was irresponsible. He lived nearby. All he did was take alcohol and drugs day in and day out. After hearing all this, we had to find a solution.
Catherine was taken to the hospital for treatment and later enrolled in the Penner Child Care program so we could continue taking care of her. As we speak, she is currently acquiring her education and getting all the care that she needs to grow into a fine woman with dreams. In the future, she dreams of becoming a teacher, which can only be possible with your continuous support.
